{Inspiration}

Hey there! Today I’ll be showing you how I find inspiration for my designs. Recently, some asked me: “How do you find inspiration for your dresses? The most I could come up with is a top and a bottom…” So I thought it would be fun to write a quick little read about how I do it. Enjoy!

I have a couple of ways I start. The 1st one is creating a mood board. A mood board is pretty much a collage of snippets that I like from magazines. Like if I see a color that I like or an element that would be pretty on a dress, I’ll add it to my mood board. I think it’s a really fun project to work on.

If I don’t make a mood board, I brainstorm by doodling in my sketchbook. I draw any and every color I want use, the style of the dress, etc. To be 100% honest, sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever run out of ideas. But as long as there’s colors in the world, and there’s imagination in me, I don’t think I’ll ever run out of inspiration.

That’s it for today’s post I hope you enjoyed it. For my next post, I’ll be doing some Q&A. So feel free comment any and every question you have about my blog! Thanks so much for reading! Until the next post, goodbye!

Hi! I’m Lauren Elizabeth! I am an aspiring fashion designer who adores everything fashion. For example, I’m 99.9% sure I've read every fashion design book there is. {well that I’ve been able to get my hands on:} Another thing is, I have had restless nights because my mind is buzzing with fashion designs that I HAVE to try!
